He moved to New Orleans in 1987 at age eighteen to attend Tulane University, and before graduation was playing the Maple Leaf Bar, Cafe Brasil and Tipitinas. has been called a lot of things: "The most talented songwriter in New Orleans" (Antigravity Magazine June '07); "one of the best young songwriters in the country" (N.O.
