1914 - Frank Fields was born on this day. Traditional jazz string bassist and tuba player from Plaquemine, Louisiana. Frank began with the Claiborne Williams band in Donaldsonville, Louisiana. He then worked with Papa Celstin and the navy band Also worked with Albert French and in the 1980's with the 'New Camelia Band'.
