1916 - Albert Carroll, an authentic Storyville piano professor and a native of Donaldsonville, Louisiana passed away on this day at the age of 36. He was known to play at Lulu White's bordello, and well known by Jelly Roll Morton who called his a "great pianist". In 1912, he travelled and played in Chicago.
