1985 - Eddie Lang (Langlois), an R&B guitarist and a native of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away as a result of a stroke at the age of 49. He was heavily influenced by Eddie “Guitar Slim” Jones, by far the city’s most successful exponent of the blues guitar craft. He cut soul records for Joe Banashak’s Seven B label. In the 70's he returned to small band blues with “Food Stamp Blues” becoming his best ever seller. |
