1915 - Clement Tervalon was born on this day. Traditional jazz string bassist and trombonist from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was primarily associated with the bands of Octave Crosby in the forties and fifties. He was also a member of the 'Young Tuxedo Brass Band', and led a band on Bourbon Street in the 1960's. He died in 1989 at 74.
