1901 - Benjamin 'Benjy' White was born on this day. Traditional jazz clarinetist and saxophonist from New Orleans, Louisiana. He played with the 'Invincibles String Band', and was also an original member of the 'New Orleans Owls'. When this group broke-up he quit playing music.
