1982 - (Lovin) Sam Theard, a singer, actor and comedian from New Orleans, Louisiana passed away on this day at the age of 78. He's known as the man who wrote "(I'll Be Glad When You're Dead) You Rascal You," made famous by Louis Armstrong, and "Let the Good Times Roll," which was one of Louis Jordan's major hits as well as a primary staple of rhythm & blues and early rock & roll.
