1904 - Rene' Gelpi was born on this day. Traditional jazz guitarist and 5-string banjo player from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was the first of the 'Invincibles String Band' and later became a member of the 'New Orleans Owls'. Rene' became a prominent architect.
