1968 - Ernest 'Ninesse' Trepagnier, traditional jazz drummer from New Orleans, Louisiana died on this day. He was born in 1885, and started his musical career with the Olympia Orchestra. Before 1920, he played with John Robichaux, Papa Celestin and the Gaspards. During the Depression, he was with the ERA and WPA musical orchestras and brass bands. Ernest died in New Orleans.
