1937 - Joseph P. 'Pee-Wee' Spitlera was born on this day. Traditional jazz clarinetist from New Orleans, Louisiana. He played frequently in 'kids bands' as a child under the direction of George Girard and Murphy Campo. Later he was a regular in Al Hirt's bands.
