| 1986 - Don Wilkerson, a tenor saxophonist and a native of Moreauville, Louisiana passed away on this day. He worked with Cannonball Adderley, recorded in the 1950s with Amos Milburn and Ray Charles. He's better known for his Blue Note Records recordings with guitarist Grant Green in the 1960's. With Green, he recorded 3 albums, Preach Brother!, Elder Don, and Shoutin’! |
