1905 - Roosevelt Holts was born on this day. A country blues guitarist, vocalist and a native of Tylertown, MS. He went largely unnoticed for most of his music career, until the blues revival of the 1960's. He became a resident of Bogalusa, Louisiana and made his forst recordings there in 1969. He passed away in 1994 in Franklinton, Louisiana in 1994 at the ripe old age of 89.
